Full calf binding in acceptable condition with general wear commensurate with age, lettering to spine very faded, front board nearly detached, cracked hinges. Inner good to very good, old signature to title page, rare foxing, some creasing throughout, still very solid.

A good volume of an early English edition of Herodotus (with the first complete translation) and an excellent candidate for restoration.
